1. What are the minimum system requirements for my PC?

Before you install the game, make sure that your system meets the following requirements:
* Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Vista
* 500 MHz or faster Intel/Pentium processor
* 128MB RAM
* 1.2GB free hard drive space
* Video card with 2MB RAM or higher
* DirectX 6.1 or higher with compliant video and sound
* Microsoft Media Player 9.0
* Internet connection with 512 Kbps or faster connection speed
* Microsoft-compatible mouse and keyboard

 
2. How to install the game?

Once you have downloaded the game, you'll find a file called Setup.exe or similar, click this file twice to begin the installation process. Simply follow the onscreen instructions to install the game. At the end of the installation process click the "Finish" button. You'll find a new icon on your desktop, "Monster and Me" click this icon twice to begin the game.

Note: When you play for the first time, the game will probably have to patch several times before you can play, this may take quite some time depending on your connection speed.

 
3. I don't know my PC specifications. How can I check?

First, right click on the mouse while pointed to the ‘My Computer' on the Desktop and then click on Entry-Information.
Another window titled by System Information will then be opened showing the various tabs such as System, Computer, etc.
Under the tap of General you should check the following:
a. System: It has the name of OS in current use and Build No.
b. Computer: You can check the type of CPU installed on the system and the memory capacity.

 
4. Why do I get a message telling me the server has not started?

Every day, except for Sunday, the servers are brought down for maintenance, this is usually at midnight Pacific Standard Time, and lasts from 15 to 45 minutes depending on what kind of maintenance is required. 5. It has passed the maintenance time, but I always get the message "Haven't started the server" when I try to log in the game?

Please download the latest patch from our website and install it under the M&M directory to fix your problem.

 
6. When I log into the game, I get the message "Can't connect to the server"?

a Please make sure that you computer has connected to an ftp site.
b If you have installed firewall, it's suggested you to modify its settings.

 
7. The bottom tool bar has display errors / I can not see my HP bars / The font is wrong 

There is something wrong with your Font size :

Solution : Right click on your desktop and select --> Properties --> Settings --> Advanced --> Font size --> Small fonts.

 
8. When I log in, there is a message saying "you computer can't open avi file", after I click it,, another message pop up saying "There is no driver installed on your system" ?

1) It's suggested you to download the DirectX together with media player (at least 8.1) according to your OS.
2) If it fails for you, try the following steps to fix your problem;
Step 1: If you don't have Kazaa, you should download one.
Step 2: Run a search for Indeo Codec
Note: In the search menu there should be a file labeled Indeo XP Codec or something to this extent
Step 3: Download the Indeo Codec off Kazaa and run the installation of the Codec.
Step 4: The game can play now.

Note: Before you installed the Codec, please make sure that you have latest windows media player and DirectX.

If it still can't fix your problem, you need to reinstall K-Lite Codec Pack. In K-Lite Codec pack, don't forget to find and tick "Indeo Video Codec".

 
9. When I log in the game, I can't see myself and get a black / or half black screen

Solution : Right click on Play.exe. Then select Properties from the list. Next, press the compatability tab at the top of the properties window. In "Run this program in compatibility mode for" select "Windows 98 / Windows Me".

 
10. After I player M&M for a while, I get the message "Access violation at address 00465A97 in module'HL_CLIENT.EXE'. Read of address 0295EEE8."

Please reboot the computer and the problem will disappear.

 
11. When I play for a while, the message "canvas does not allow drawing" pops up, then they start multiplying?

Currently you can relog in or reboot your computer to fix it.

 
12. When logging into the game I receive Socket Error or Server Busy message boxes.

13. When I log in the game, I always hang there?

a. You can have a try 10-20 minutes later.
b. Please make sure you are not running many program simultaneously.
c. You can reinstall the game by clearing all files in its former directory and create a different directory to install M&M.
d. If you have installed the firewall in your computer, you can try to modify its settings.

 
14. I get the error message: Unexpected end of archive. How to fix it?
